What happens after Death?
All of the world’s greatest religions tell us, we are eternal beings. It is our Birthright from the one eternal Universal Divine Being that created us. I choose to call this Divine Being, God, but you may have a different choice and that’s up to you. The recognition that there is something bigger than yourself is far more important than the name you choose to give it.
The religions are correct! Our Souls are the Divine part of us that holds our timeless memories, joys, sorrows, all of our love, and the Truth about who we really are. Our Soul has always existed and will, forever more. It’s our physical bodies that come and go. They are a temporary gift.
Having a body is important. They give our Souls the ability to work through lessons and situations needed, in order to balance our life experiences and grow spiritually. Our bodies help us bring new lives into existence and give our children the ability to balance and spiritually grow. Creation of new life on Earth, would not be possible if we didn’t have a body. Having a body is precious.
However, living in our human body, has its limitation. Along with the body comes our brain. Our brain sets up filters – especially the logical, left side – that keeps us hidden behind a veil of unknowing. It creates a false sense of personal ego and is a barrier to our higher knowledge of the Universe. That’s why people are afraid of death and find the wonders that await us on the “other side”, too difficult to believe.
So what happens when our bodies die? If our Souls are everlasting, where do we go after death? What is it like, on the other-side?
I sit in awe and gratitude to those who have documented and researched Near Death Experiences (NDE) and to those who are brave enough to talk about it. For some, the mere thought that there is a life after death is too difficult to fathom through the limiting filters of our brains. They are the skeptics who will defend their belief so strongly that they impose shame and harsh judgement on those of us who believe. However, the accounts of those who have had a Near Death Experience, are so consistent that we cannot ignore them. It’s from these brave Souls that we can begin to imagine an amazingly wonderful place that we all call Home.
After my friend’s NDE, he told me that we are but a droplet of water in a vast, vast ocean. The message he left me with was “fear not”.
In the afterlife, the light heals all the pain you’ve suffered in your entire lifetime…physical, mental, emotional and otherwise. (The Afterlife of Billy Fingers)
Have you heard the expression “Look for the Light”? There is a light. The kind of light that’s like brilliant sunshine on a pristine snow bank. That light is Divine light – God’s light. When your Soul is released from your body, the Light beckons you – gently yet firmly calling to your Soul, to come home.
Besides this most glorious Light, many people suddenly become aware of being in beautiful gardens like nothing they’ve ever seen on earth. They also hear rich and complex, astounding celestial music. They feel whole, loved and a complete sense of well-being.
You are not Alone!
No one ever crosses over alone. There is always someone – who you recognize – that comes to greet you. It could be a loved one or a dear friend. It could even be your beloved pet. We also have other “family” on the other side. Soul families who have been watching over us through the trials and tribulations of our earthly lives. Hoping, wishing and cheering for the best to happen. Each one of us is deeply known, loved and cared for, far beyond any human understanding. We are cherished by God who created us and by our Soul Families. We are God’s children, returning home after several years of ups and downs, on earth. The reunion is always joyous and the message is:
- “You are loved and cherished, dearly, forever”
- “You have nothing to fear”
- “There is nothing you can do wrong”

All of Life’s Challenges are GONE!
There is nothing but pure unconditional Love on the other side. The kind of love that you can only imagine because of its purity and power. Love heals all wounds. What you are experiencing in your human form today, is resolved and gone – physical and/or emotional pain, addiction, arthritis, migraines, diabetes, cancer – everything that challenged you in your life, is gone. Our Souls return to a state of pure bliss. There is no judgement, guilt or shame. Our Souls don’t think that way; only our human brains do.
Love is, without a doubt, the basis of everything. Not some abstract, hard-to-fathom kind of love but the day-to-day kind that everyone knows – the kind of love we feel when we look at our spouse and our children, or even our animals. In its purest and most powerful form, this love is not jealous or selfish, but unconditional. This is the reality of realities, the incomprehensibly glorious truth of truths that lives and breathes at the core of everything that exists or that ever will exist, and no remotely accurate understanding of who and what we are can be achieved by anyone who does not know it, and embody it in all of their actions. (Proof of Heaven – Eben Alexander, MD).
This is why I deeply believe in my work as a Ghost Rescuer. Those Souls who have chosen not to go to the Light, are now without their bodies and are lost between this world and the next. They don’t cross-over because they feel there is unfinished business or they are unworthy to cross-over. But in the meantime, they hold onto their earthly challenges; they just don’t have a body to help temper those challenges.
Every Soul, no matter what they have done or who they have been, deserves to experience the splendour of the afterlife and to become whole, loved and deeply cared for. They are far better off on the other side than between worlds. When they cross-over, they are instantly healed. They can finally relax and be at peace. It’s an absolute privilege to assist a lost Soul to return home. It’s the most kind and loving thing I can think to do. Love is the most precious gift we can give to one another.
Life according to Jayne
And so I leave you with a few thoughts:
– Have compassion for those who can’t see – they are shrouded by the veil, as is every human being
– Fear not – you are God’s child and are an Eternal Being
– You are not, and have not ever been alone
– Love one another as much and as often as you can
– When the time comes, look for the Light and follow its beckoning call
